How do I get a card?
If you are 18 or over, you can submit an application online below or come to the library. There is no annual fee for having a card and you do not have to be a City of Kingsport resident to obtain one.

If you are younger than 18, you must apply in person at the library with your parent or legal guardian who will sign your application. If you apply online, a postcard will be mailed to you. Bring that postcard to the library to obtain your library card, along with a photo ID or two items you have received in the mail at your current address.


Report loss or theft of a card promptly to avoid its unauthorized use. A card holder is responsible until loss is reported.
