Belt Chatter, May 1928

KC Manuscript Collection 240

This collection consists of one issue of Belt Chatter by Slip-Not Belting Corporation of Kingsport, Tennessee.  This May 1928 work is Volume 3, no. 2 of a publication only “issued occasionally.”  The cover shows a picture of the company’s Assistant Secretary and Associate Editor, Miss Leon Crumley.  The publication consists of articles, images of local places, and a variety of advertisements for companies using belts from Slip-Not Belting.  The company was owned by H.J. Shivell and located on Clay Street.  The company later moved to East Main Street in downtown Kingsport.
