BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Charles Albert Harris worked as a realtor for the Kingsport Improvement Corporation (KIC). The KIC was organized in 1915 by John B. Dennis who enlisted the help of J. Fred Johnson. The KIC sold land and encouraged home ownership as part of its plan to develop Kingsport socially, economically, and physically.   

 

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The collection consists of one notebook owned by Charles Albert Harris. The notebook contains KIC listings and information on land and landowners.
