Kiwanis Kapers Programs, 1955-1975

ABSTRACT:
The collection consists of Kiwanis Kapers programs from 1955 through 1975 along with a 1965 Kiwanis Club yearbook.  The Kiwanis Kapers were a community variety program presented for several decades in Kingsport,Tennessee.  The Kapers had a number of acts that varied from a chorus line, to a minstrel act, and various variety skits.  Programs contain information about the community that includes Kiwanis Club members and Kiwanis Club community projects along with advertisements for area businesses and related photographs.  Frank Taylor and King Cox were two of the most notable Kapers participants.
