SCOPE AND CONTENT

The Leadership Kingsport collection consists of information on individual and group case studies/community impact projects created by participants in Leadership Kingsport.  This project was started in 1983 and is part of the Kingsport Area Chamber of Commerce.  The group holds an annual program each year where participants present their research findings.  Leadership Kingsportseeks to develop leaders who want to take an active role in making Kingsport, Tennesseea better community.  Printed documents consisting of case studies/community impact projects are the bulk of these materials.  In addition, there are some directories and annual event agendas.  A number of slides and videocassettes were created during the 1980s.  Since the mid-1990s, many projects have been saved on either 3 ½ inch floppy disks or CD-ROMs.
