SCOPE AND CONTENT

The collection consists of one 8 x 10 black and white photograph of Governor Frank Clement and a delegation from Afghanistan. Pictured in the photograph is (from left to right); unidentified man, Princess Margolai, Prince Sardar Wali Shah, Governor Frank Clement, Senator Mack Ray, and Dick Bailey.  Prince Sardar Wali was the recipient of a grant from the United States Administration for International Development. The grant allowed him and his wife to stay in Nashville, Tennessee for a year while he pursued graduate studies in development economics.
