The Kingsport Archives preserves for consultation and study the documentary heritage of the City of Kingsport, TN.

The Kingsport Archives is located on the fifth floor of City Hall in downtown Kingsport. The Archives houses papers and photographs of individuals, organizations, industry, business, and non-current City records pertaining to the history of the City of Kingsport for preservation and research purposes.

Digital Project

The Kingsport Archives is pleased to offer digitization of 17 volumes of the TEC News, Eastman’s employee newsletter, covering the years 1946 to 1962. These volumes, which offer a fascinating look into the company’s history and the lives of its employees, are now available to the public using the following link: TEC News

This digitization project was made possible through a grant contract from the Tennessee Historical Records Advisory Board and NHPRC, ensuring that this important piece of regional and corporate history can be preserved and shared with future generations.
