ABSTRACT:
These scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings documenting the activities and events of the Parks and Recreation Department during an expansionary phase beginning in the 1940s. The newspaper clippings come predominately from the Kingsport Times News, but the scrapbooks contain articles about the Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department found in other area newspapers. Each scrapbook has an inventory list of articles with page numbers.
