Broadstreet Furniture Company
In 1963, Broadstreet Furniture, located between the Strand Theater and Palace Fruit and News, underwent a significant remodel inside and out. Among the changes to the exterior was the new façade seen in this image. “Where good furniture is not expensive” was the motto of the company. Broadstreet Furniture was opened in 1944 by George W. Taylor and S. Flem Dobyns.
