Borden Mills and J.P. Stevens Companies Collection, 1948-1988

The Borden Mills and J.P. Stevens Companies collection consists of newspaper clippings and publications.  Materials date from 1948 through 1988 and provide details about the opening of Borden Village in Kingsport, Tennessee, company products, the death of Bertram H. Borden, the acquisition of Borden Mills by J.P. Stevens & Company, information on the textile industry, and the sale of J.P. Stevens to Odyssey Partners.  There is also a copy of Borden Mills Inc., a publication for the company’s Kingsport employees, dated October 1948.
