ABSTRACT:
This collection consists of the “Citizens’ Evaluation of the Allen & Hoshall East Kingsport Comprehensive Land Use and Transportation Study Report.”  This evaluative document was prepared in association with Citizens for Responsible Roads, Inc. based in Kingsport, Tennessee.  According to the report, the “study began in the wake of a controversy over the proposed extension of Airport Parkway North (SR357).  The study’s project manager was Stephen Tocknell who brought “over thirty years of experience as a transportation planner.”  The Allen & Hoshall report was released in January 2003.  Included in this evaluation are analysis, recommendations, a conclusion, and a two-part appendix with charts and a map of the traffic area.
