Dr. Will Hutchins

This image shows Dr. Hutchins, his wife Tuie (seated), and his dental assistant outside his office/home. The area is now part of the softball field at Indian Highland Park. In addition to his duties as a local dentist, he was active in civic and business affairs. He served as a charter member of the Rotary Club of Kingsport and First Baptist Church. He was owner of Hutch-Wallin Floral Shop and Spruce Court Apartments and organizer of the First District Dental Society in 1918. He also founded Sliver Lake Swimming Resort (now The Landings) in Church Hill. Hutchins retires and moved to Florida during the late 1950s.
