ABSTRACT:
The George R. Hutchins collection contains two articles about modern Kingsport, Tennessee’s early history and twenty-six miscellaneous posters/placards advertising events, businesses, and political candidates within the community.  Among the advertisers are the Kingsport Lions Club, Fun Fest, and various local businesses.  The two articles (color copies) describe the growth of Kingsport and possibly the first official report on the community’s schools.
