New Vision for Youth Outreach Committee Collection, 2003-2004

KC Manuscript Collection 65

ABSTRACT:
The New Vision for Youth Outreach Committee collection consists of a bulletin for Who Am I and a program of the inaugural Tri-Cities Black Heritage and Image Awards.  Both events were presented during Black History Month in either 2003 or 2004.  These presentations were held in Kingsport, Tennessee at St. Mark Methodist Church and the Meadowview Convention Center.  The Heritage and Image Awards were intended to be a recurring event to “capture and recognize the history of extraordinary Black men, women, and children of the Tri-Cities.”
