Nancy Ruth Palmer and Richard E. Self were married on June 28, 1947. At the time of the wedding, Nancy was employed as a long distance operator at Inter-Mountain Telephone Company. Richard was employed in the laboratories of the Mead Corporation.

Mrs. J. W. Dobyns and Unidentified Woman
Mrs. J.W. Dobyns (Lulu Lee Cooper) affectionately known as “Mother Dobyns” was born in Old Town, Grayson County, Virginia. She came to Kingsport in 1906 with her husband, James W. Dobyns, who became Kingsport’s first mayor. Mother Dobyns died February 14, 1951.
