Mr. Wonderful (Playbill), 1956

KC Manuscript Collection 146

Mr. Wonderful was a Broadway musical starring the legendary Sammy Davis, Jr. which ran from March 1956-February 1957.  The playbill dates from the week beginning on March 26, 1956.  Among the performers was Kingsport native Ann Buckles, in the role of an unemployed actress.  Ann was first to appear onstage, as can be seen in the cast listing, arranged in order of appearance, on page 13.  In addition to material on the play, the playbill also contains advertisements for clothes, alcohol, and toiletries.
