Provenance: Verna Ruth Abbott donated this collection in 1995. Additions were made in March 2005, February 2007, March and June 2008, and May 2013.

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The Kingsport Retired Teachers’ Association collection contains a variety of materials including scrapbooks, member directories, reports, correspondence, photographs, minutes, and a history of the organization.  The Kingsport branch had its beginnings in May 1968 and the group’s institutional background between 1968 and 1981 is documented in “History of the Kingsport Retired Teachers’ Association.”
