City Mission


Inside the City Mission. The City Mission, located on E. Sullivan Street, was founded by Mr. And Mrs. T.A. Williams and provided meals, lodging and assistance to needy individuals. The mission also held a church service everyday of the week and often featured visiting pastors from area churches.

Naval Reserve Center


Scene from inside the Naval Reserve Center. The Naval Reserve Center was established in 1946 for the purpose of training and administratively supporting the Navel Reserve Surface program. The center was located on the grounds of the Holston Army Ammunition Plant just off of Highway 11-W west of Kingsport.
