Mrs. J. W. Dobyns
Mrs. J.W. Dobyns (Lulu Lee Cooper) affectionately known as “Mother Dobyns” was born in Old Town, Grayson County, Virginia. She came to Kingsport in 1906 with her husband who became Kingsport’s first mayor. Mother Dobyns died February 14, 1951.
